Why the heck did the Cloud demand Hiashi's head?

The hidden Cloud sent their men to kidnap a young Hinata, to get the Byakugan's secrets, and Hiashi did what any normal father/leaf shinobi would do, kill the sons of bitches. Then the cloud get pissed and ask the leaf to compensate with Hiashi's head? I know war would of broke out, but that's pretty dumb man. Good thing he had a twin though.

The whole point was that there was no proof of him trying to steal his daughter. There were only 2 facts: A cloud Shinobi was dead, and Hiashi was the only witness and his murderer. The Cloud was desperate to ge tthe Byakugan so they did it that way.

Well, Konoha should have just hidden the fact that Hiashi killed someone from Kumo lol. I mean, if Kumo nin came looking, it's pretty much their fault they were in Konoha territory.
