Why the hair of six pain paths was orange?

I think if it's gonna be one single color, it should be red cause the hair color of the one who manipulates them is red (Nagato's). But it is actually Yahiko's. Why?

I believe Nagato chose people with orange hair. Most likely to remind him of Yahiko.

Yahiko is actually the real Yahiko, Pein turned his corpse into his main vessel of the paths. The other peins were modeled from his body so they had to have orange hair (This is how it is explained, makes no sense to me).

How he turned a corpse is beyond me.
