Why couldn't kishi have just skipped the barrier and let the hokages fight. Let's see what those guys can do. Instead you just have the Shinobi alliance vs. the juubi.... really? weren't they struggling enough before the hokage showed up.

If the juubi was free to roam and attack at will the alliance would be dead now. No one else is powerful enough or has knowledge of how to do the barrier on that level other than the kage
