Because Doctor Doom is or at least was topped as 3rd most liked Villain of all times of Marvel history. Sadly his career is underestimated. The only true movie he was in (Fantastic four) was just bullshit, and still people try to compare that with his true story.

Doctor Doom is the best villain of all times, always calm, respectful, man of honor, never whine. Those older movies and such things he never wanted to hurt anyone or at least kill. But now days he is going for kills meh. Doom's story is really messed up.

Doctor Doom is just perfection and earns the title (defiantly for me) as the best villain of all times.
