Why Susanoo isn't the best defence

Susanoo isn't the best defence.

For the competitors it has,

1.Naruto in BM

Eventough it's not a full on defense technique,Naruto's BM nails the top spot on defenses.
Why? Naruto in his BM stopped 5 freaking tailed beast bombs.And it's pretty obvious that Susanoo isn't capable to take it.I guess the maximum will be 2 (if it's in armor).A one tailed beast bomb from Kyubi destroyed Orochimaru's thriple rashemons like it was nothing.

So Naruto in BM using his defenses > Susanoo

2.Gaara's ultimate defence

Even if Sasuke overrated his Susanoo to be superior than Gaara's defense,it has great features to it that Susanoo haven't got.His sand is versatile and flexible.He can make his defense on any form.'The ultimate shukaku defense' is a winner and it's strong.
Deidara's C4 & C3 found it hard to crack his defense.It was fast enough to stop blaze release.It help a freaking collapsed sealing.

I'll call this even or some can say Gaara defense > Susanoo.Leave your thoughts below.

Susanoo isn't the best defense and thus not the best jutsu.

In terms of defense and defense only, I find Gaara's sand to be a bit weaker. But that's just my opinion.

So your saying that if Naruto were to stand and take an amaterasu arrow,blaze release magatama,yasaka magatama or a susanoo sword slash while in bijuu mode he'll be okay but if Sasuke took a tailed beast rasengan,tailed beast ball or bijuu mode sonic roar while having his full susanoo activated he'd end up dead?

Yes and no.

Versus a head-on attack, with Yata's Mirror Susano'o reflects anything. In that situation, it is absolutely the ultimate defense.

However, the shield doesn't protect from behind, and you can be yanked out of it. On the other hand, BM gives you insane speed so you can dodge pretty much anything, and if it's anything like the original Kyubi modes, it can tank a shit ton of direct damage. In fact, I don't recall either Killer Bee's or Naruto's Kyubi mode (4 tails or above) ever being penetrated in the entire manga.

I disagree with bringing up Gaara's sand guard, it really doesn't compare to the other 2. It's slow and we've seen it being penetrated in the Chuunin exams.

I'd talk about Shinra Tensei instead, for example it's the only thing that has a chance of stopping Madara's meteor.

If we're talking about blocking with the hand/ribs, then yeah 1 tail beast bomb would probably break through.
