[Theory] Why Spiral Zetsu Died

I don't know if anyone thought of this or if this was already mentioned but I think I know why Spiral Zetsu crumbled after IT was broken, its because the one that was cast by Kaguya originally to create him and various other zetsus was never broken and IT is the thing that keeps the Zetsus alive.

IT turns people into White Zetsus even though it should kill them, so my theory is that the jutsu also keeps them alive and that once it is broken all the zetsus created by it die as well.

The Sage said he researched how to break the IT but from his speech it sounds like it was never tested and since the moon wasn't around during the time of Kaguya, she must have cast IT on groups of people rather than the entire world at once, and after sealing her the Sage didn't know how to deal with the White Zetsu so he sealed them inside the moon along with Gedo Mazo.

When Naruto and Sasuke broke IT that Madara cast they broke the IT that Kaguya cast to create all those White Zetsus, so all the white Zetsus died when it broke.

What do you think of my theory?

I think Hiruzen defeated him.

When SZ left Yamato, Hiruzen called him (Yamato) out.
So, after the IT cast, only Hiruzen and SZ left there. And without Yamato or any other human near, SZ will be a weak enemy for Hiruzen.
Hiruzen solo'd Spiral Zetsu.

It got sealed before but that didn't kill all the zetsus.

BZ said that he was pulling them out from the Gedo Mazo.

If she got everyone in the world with it, then everyone would be White Zetsus not just 100,000. The fact that there are White Zetsus means it was active long enough to convert its victims.

There wasn't a moon during her time, she never cast it over the entire world, just groups of people and the Sage was too late to save them.

Edit: Where did it say it can't be cast without the moon, you just need the moon to get everyone in the world with it.

The curesed seal already weakened him. the only support was the layers of cocoons. but in 699 you can see that Yamato pulled those layers from his body.

Well, we know that Kaguya's IT wasn't broken back then - or else the people wouldn't have turned into Zetsu. That said, I'm pretty sure the jutsu ends after the victims are transformed and doesn't "somehow" still stay activated, but we generally know very little about all that.

He left willingly becaude he probably assumed he was going to meet up with Madara, but to his surprise, Madara was no longer, not to mention the fact Hagaromo and the Kage were there. Then we have the fact that if he stayed with Yamato, he would've been captured too.

Spiral Zetsu is a minion of Kaguya and was most likely aware of the moon's eye plan's true goals, so these developments didn't surprise him.
