Everyone is a "attention seeker" on this forum.
But who really cares. It's not the end of the world to see someone name on the title.
Anyone that gets annoyed by that clearly needs to take a break from the computer.

As I said somewhere else:
There are many theories about it:
1: They are not aware that other users can read the name of the thread maker by reading the "Started by 'xyz' " message just below the thread title.
2: They are unaware that they can keep track of their threads by "View your threads" option and they think they will have to look for it on the forums.
3: They believe they are being cute in a child like way. They come off as arrogant, stupid and are basically asking to be trolled but they don't realise it.
4: They really have a puffed up sense of grandeur.
5: They are desperate for attention. Really desperate.
No idea which one fits but-
In case of the option 4 and 5, they would be just too stubborn to stop it on their own anyway. They are more likely to make a few alts to promote their own threads and name and put up polls about themselves.
They are as new to NB as you.
There is nothing to discuss in a copy paste text and info you can find at Naruto wiki and at the end of the day it is the same speculation, personal opinions and typical versus thread. Nothing original.
It could have been less annoying if they made one thread for one topic. But somehow it comes down to three threads with the name in title for making a final copy paste( basically 2-4 or more threads for a single subject at the same time by the same user), which is nothing but pushing every other topic away and try to hog all the space for themselves. And they wouldn't need alts to promote themselves.
