I'm reading post today and I came to this question: why is sakura the most hated narutoian and that can't be argued. no one else has as many hate threads as she does. People complain she doesn't do nthn and when she does they still can't give props when they are due. Can some one help me understand how a fictional character can be so hated.... to the point where this very thread will be a platform for people to trash talk and generally hate her. Without actual reasons for it I don't understand
why so much Hate?

because its hip and cool to hate a character that the whole fanbase hates. i for 1 like sakura she just doesn't get the attention she deserves and people jump on her for it
Sakura haters are usually naruhina fans, they want to make Hinata look better, others are with bandwagon. I think it's plain stupid hating on character, even if I dislike Hinata and Karin I don't make threads about or talk about it unless someone tries to compare Sakura with Hinata, then I just show how things really are. Other than that I like all characters in some way, for some I just don't care, Sakura is a good character, but not all people are meant to see it. :ilu:
People hating on Sakura has nothing to do with a "popular bandwagon".
She's a typical Tsundere (google it if you don't know what it means), and that trope is very poorly received in the Western Manga Fandom. Then you also have to see how utterly useless she's been throughout the manga, bar a few questionable "good moments". Yet she's still hyped as a main character.
Basically a lot of what I gathered from diverse "Sakura Haters" is that her feats don't match her panel time.
But yeah, you also need to know that most of the fandom "ships" NaruHina, so bashing the other plausible character for Naruto to end with is a way for the shippers to express their dislike of the NaruSaku pairing.
Basically : poor showings/large screentime + being "in the way" of the most popular "ship" = One of the most hated characters in Naruto.

Because she reminds them of the girl they liked in school that ignored them and was all about the biggest jerk in the school. No matter how nice they treated her, and how much he shitted on her, in the end forever friend-zoned.

A majority of this post is just a no. Opinions can be respected, but I can't agree at all. It's not always about bandwagon (I know you didn't say always but this term seems to be applied to all of us when it doesn't). If it's usually NaruHina fans, couldn't the same be said for hate on Hinata? Mostly NaruSaku fans? Show how things really are? Sorry, but you show how you see it in terms of your perspective. If things were really the way you "show" them, why doesn't everyone see it? Aren't meant to see it. Hmm, what are we meant to see her as?
OT: While some can be biased and irrational while ranting on how "useless" she is, and she isn't, unlike some earlier posts that state otherwise, some of us hate her for a rational reason(s). I also can’t stand when fans assume we all hate her for the same reasons or we're idiots for doing so. Sakura is also disliked for her personality, and I don't just mean, before the quick assumptions are made, of "because she hits Naruto". Im tired of Sakura fans being so expectant of people to like her just because she’s the top medic ninja after Tsunade or because she’s super strong, or when she does something fans think is amazing. I can admit to Sakura’s feats and such, but that doesn’t mean I have to start liking her and I won’t anytime soon. I have disliked her since part 1 and despite bitter claims of “still hating on part 1 Sakura in shippuden”, I continue to dislike Sakura, even in shippuden and not because I keep remembering part 1 Sakura.
Her fans also happen to be a contribution to this dislike. Whilst not all of them, but a majority. They hold her on a high pedestal, and expect everyone to hold her up there as well. What also confuses me is they complain about haters and bashers, yet will hypocritically turn around and bash another character themselves, usually in her favor, too.

they hate her because naruto loves her. she is keeping hinanaru from existing (sorry that pairing is one sided)....that and most haters argue their hate like they are in middle school soooo...any hate threads you see about her 99% of the time are not justified and are just a bunch of buttheart kids who have nothing better to do with their life than hate on a fictional character...
oh and whoever mentioned they hate her because she represents the popular girl that turned down the guys is genius. thats probably true too!

Truth be told... Almost everytime is baseless hate or bandwagon. But it's a personal opinion and it shall be respected.
