I don't mean consistent members who have a legit account here just to troll like in the Naruto section. But what I mean is like, every day I come here (and I'm not even exaggerating by saying every day) and I view a good thread I see at least 1 shitty post saying something like

'One Piece sux who cares'

'oda isnt that good anyway, thats why i dont read it'

'why are you talking about one piece on a naruto site foh'

And the crazy part about it? All the people who post this stuff are naruto fans.
Like does anybody else ever notice this? It's really annoying to see hese stupid posts every day, it takes down the quality

(I know this is probably going to get locked but still I just wanted to get this out. I've had it on my mind a while an wanted to say it)

I got a perm. ban from the Naruto section LOLL XD. Anyways I'll expose them right now... both Vasu32 and hixa kuogame don't read OP at all. They just comment here once Naruto is brought up in this section or if they see a potential OP bash thread.

Here's a quote from Hixa kuogame where he lost a lot of credibility. I literally stopped arguing with him once he said this but he still insisted.
The main goal of the Fishman Island arc was to stop Hody and save Fishman Island. Thats what they spent most of the arc doing. All of that was irrelevant to the main goal of the following arc. Defeat Ceasar and save the children. neither of those goals have a connection. whereas, In Naruto The kage summit arc leads into the team 7 reunion arc. Another example is how the Akatsuki Invasion arc leads into the Tsunade recovery arc which leads into the Sasuke retrieval arc. Unlike One Piece, Naruto's arc connect and relate to the previous instead of just jumping into a new adventure. Little Significant discoveries like these don't count:
-Shirahoshi has the ability of poseidon
-Robin found a poneglyph which will reveal mysteries of the void century and most likely be connected to the will of D.
-There was a prophecy that Luffy will destroy fishman island.
-Caribou knows about Shirahoshi's ability
-Luffy claiming Fishman Island as his territory.

They don't connect the plot in a major way.

Lol Ok can you tell me how anything in that list connects the fishman Island arc to the Punk Hazard arc.....
nope so I don't see how that takes away my credibility. The fact that you had no rebuttal takes away your credibility.

OT: people do the same thing with Naruto. Some of them are One Piece fans.
Its nothing new.

How was I wrong? because no one seems to be telling me why.
My point to Yo momma was that the arcs in One Piece don't connect like fishman Island arc didn't connect to Punk Hazard. He presented me with that list and none of the things he posted held strong relevance in Fishman Island arc seeing how it didn't help them defeat Hody Jones and that nothing he listed affect the Punk Hazard arc. Unless I'm wrong. Did Shirahoshi having the Poseidon ability affect the Punk Hazard arc? This is a serious question which no one is giving me an answer to.

Sorry, I never knew you were addressing something until your comment was actually quoted. Anyways, that list has major significance to the plot and upcoming events. It's effects one of the SH's main goals, which is Robin's quest to find out more about the void century and potentially reveal what the will of D. is through the void century. This is progression for one of her goals which is important for the plot since she is one of the main characters and like I said before it may be connected with the will of D.

Shira. ability didn't affect the PH arc but those points that I made do affect future upcoming arcs and plot-points later down the road. This is just the start of the TS, you're acting as if OP is near it's end. However there were connections with FI and PH such as Pekoms and Tamago shown in PH and now leading to the SH's encountering Big Mom's ship. FI and PH may not share strong connections but like I mentioned before they are 100% important arcs that setup for future events.

My question is still unanswered :|.
How did any of this affect the Punk Hazard arc?
-Shirahoshi has the ability of poseidon
-Robin found a poneglyph which will reveal mysteries of the void century and most likely be connected to the will of D.
-There was a prophecy that Luffy will destroy fishman island.
-Caribou knows about Shirahoshi's ability
-Luffy claiming Fishman Island as his territory.

All the things in that list have collateral significance. None of it connects the random and unrelated arcs and doesn't add to the major goal of the story. There's no clear purpose to how any of those discoveries. What is the glue that connects the Buggy Arc, Arlong Arc,
Reverse Mountain Arc, Little Garden Arc, Drum Island Arc, Alabasta Arc, Skypiea Arc, Enies Lobby Arc, Sabaody Arc, Marine Ford arc, Fishman Island Arc, Punk Hazard Arc, and Dressrosa arc. And I'm not talking about a continuation of where the last arc left off like the Punk Hazard Arc to Dressrosa Arc.
The things in that list don't immediately give leadway to the overlining plot of the story. The arcs in One piece are just slightly related separate stories instead of one big plot.

It doesn't carry much significance to the PH arc. Why? OP story length is far much longer than Naruto's (which I'm assuming you're comparing it to) so of course Naruto shippuden arcs will be more interconnected to the next following arc cause the story length is much shorter than OP. With OP's plot, it's still growing as we just hit the half way mark but even then the side stories and inner-plot arcs will lead to a snowball effect and reveal a strong plot. The poneglyph's in OP are highly significant and they'll reveal the truth to the void century which the previous king of pirates already revealed. Trust me, Robin's progress in her goal will eventually tie with the overall plot of OP. It's like you're comparing half-finished car (OP) to a nearly finished car (Naruto) and asking questions like: Where is the engine (plot) of this car? It's still in development. That's your answer.

So basically I'm right about my original point? The plot in One Piece isn't deep enough to have major plot holes whereas, the plot of Naruto is... Why did you deny this statement in the first place?
Even still, Majority of the manga is used doing insignificant things that doesn't progress the underdeveloped plot of 700+ chapters.

Arcs may not effect each other immediately afterwards, but they are eventually reconnected. It's not like Naruto, it's just different.

Nope. Those highlights of the FI arc that I made was to refute the claim you made on my profile when you said, "They spent almost all the arc doing those things which wouldn't affect what they do in the future." I never said that FI & PH are strongly connected plot wise. I stated that the events that occurred in FI are for upcoming events and will be used as plot devices. The reason why you were laughed at by scorezor was the claim you made that those events don't connect to the plot in a major way. They do indeed connect to the plot in a major way. I always feel like a broken record whenever I talk with you, it's like you don't even read my post or you just don't understand it.

It is significant. Robin's goal is to decipher the poneglyph's and... you know what even if I tell you won't understand. Just watch this clip and hopefully you can connect the dots yourself to see how important they are to the plot/overall story.

The majority of the Fishman Island arc was spent fighting Hody Jones and Saving Fishman Island. That has nothing to do with Stopping Ceasar on Punk Hazard. The arcs are not connected except by plot devices and discoveries that won't even be recognized til who knows when. Ok so there are little details that are acknowledged but they serve no immediate purpose in tightening the overall plot.

*Sigh*

No one is disagreeing with you on the fact that defeating Hody Jones and stopping Ceasar are not connected. My disagreement is when you said that the highlights in FI don't connect the plot in a major way. One Piece still has a strong 8 + years to go and even Rayleigh pretty much said that finding out these mysteries is a group effort and must be taken one step at a time. That's clearly how the SH's are moving at the moment.

Immediate purpose? Lol What, you want Robin to immediately connect the dots of the poneglyph's (which she hasn't seen all of them) and come to some random conclusion? Rayleigh pretty much said that their is no need to rush towards these things. He is the first mate of the previous pirate king after all so surely his words are quite significant and he knows how to guide them. You need to be patient with these things, they'll reveal to sad/dark history that the World Government is trying to hide from the public. It's all significant even to Luffy as he is a D member after all. It's like you're expecting OP to end next year.
