If the juubi did die, it wouldnt matter because like Raikage said that if a bijuu dies than it would comeback to life so sasuke's plan of burning it to death would have failed.....
question: is it that sasuke didn't know that or did Kishi forget what he said earlier???

I think what the Raikage meant was if the Jinchuuriki is killed the Tailed Beast will be restored after a time.

I don't think killing the Juubi would bring them back since they are technically one true being, minus Kurama and Hachibi.

Killing it when it was in it's original form will kill it for good, that's why they are revived if a Jinchuuriki are killed. They are needed to make up the Juubi, but when complete, it is god like and near unkillable and therefore no need to be revived...

If that makes sense to you... XD

This.

Basically, each of the nine tailed beasts are only pieces of the puzzle that is the Juubi. One piece can be destroyed but since it is somehow linked to the others it could come back.

The Juubi is the finished puzzle, so if you set it on fire and it doesn't purge that part, it could die since it doesn't have anything to recover from.

It makes sense in a way.

The thought of the Juubi dying from an amaterasu never ever even came to mind. That would be the dumbest thing ever
