Yeah, but Itachi had a reason. He felt disgusted by the Uchiha clan, including his father. He didn't want to be tied to them in any way. That became pretty clear when he threw the Kunai at the Uchiha crest in their house.

Indra reincarnation? Cute. Why would he need that when he became an immortal being that had the power of the sage himself and the Dojutsu of the Goddess of the NV (comfirmed by Hagoromo himself). He has the markings of the Rikudou on his back nevermind some fodder crest like Uchiha which is now being worn by Mrs. Fodder herself.
