Huh? Madara's situation was completely different. Hashirama was the best candidate and then he left. He wouldn't have been chosen over hashi -- tobirama, sure, but not hashi.

Sasuke is in a very different situation. The madman danzou became hokage afterall, even though he used KA. But, he only used KA on 1 person, so they genuinely appointed a madman.

This is exactly like madara's situation. Madara wanted to become hokage but by democracy hashirama got chosen.
Sasuke wants to become hokage but by democracy naruto will get chosen.

Its right there in plain font that the seniors and villagers chose hashi over madara. Madara admits that tobirama will be chosen over him.

Danzo was a hokage candidate. same goes for kakashi. It never became official.

After what Sasuke has done, helping to stop Edo Tensei, bringing back the Hokage to save them, and when they hear out his tragic story and reasons for wanting to be hokage, I'm sure he'll have as much a chance as Naruto. Itachi already explained that for you to become kage the villagers must accept you. Sasuke isn't looking for acceptance and therefore can't become kage.
