this is not a character bashing thread. it is a serious answer to one of the biggest questions on the base.
People hate sakura because.
1. she hasn't had any development, her only obstacle was a short bit of being bullied as a 5 year old. Besides that she has been very normal, easily one of the most happiest lifes in the history of naruto. so its not that interesting to look at.
2. she is a main character. she is litterally is one of the 4 pillars that builds up the entire narutoverse. but does she really carry that much weight and have that much importance? no! she has very little to 0 obstacles. in her path and has only done a handful of important things in all 627 chapters so far. i mean look at Nami. she guided luffy, she had to overcome her past, she is constantly guiding the crew, encouraging them, and being brave. she is a perfect heroine. does Sakura even acomplish 1/1,000 of that no way!
3. she constantly abuses naruto, left a preschooler lying in a pool of his own blood(by striking him mercilessly) nearly killed naruto. I know these characters are called tsunaders,(or something close)
but the point is typically in anime the woman that do this can't punch a boulder clean in half! however people won't be able to identify this character type and just think she is being abusive to naruto.
4. she failed to reach her potential. 90% of Sakura's development occured in the sasori battle, it is pretty the only thing ever cited by sakura fans. it is litterally one of her best scenes in all of naruto.however after this she gets only four scenes of action. 1. where she foolishly rushes sasuke and if not for yamato would've been bisected. 2. took out pains summon. 3 got pwned by a single kick from omoi. 4 sucker punched a zetsu. 5 nearly killed by a random zetsu that she saw transforming and she couldn't even prepare to dodge it. i mean after the sasori battle her combat skills went signifacnatly less.
we was praised numerous times throughout the manga, but so far she is still miles behind tsunade, and she still hasn't even surpassed shizune, or kakashi yet. people argue taht she surpassed shizune, but that is so laughable and dumb that i just shake my head and laugh. first off watch the shizune vs kabuto fight, watch how long they fight and how she nearly kills kabuto. now watch the sakura vs kabuto fight? sakura gets pwned very easily right? shizune>sakura in combat, and most likley medical.
5. she fails to kill sasuke and still loves him even though he stabbed her and tried to kill her, but she keeps crawling back. it shows taht we can't trust her, we can't. after she failed to kill sasuke, which is what she has been preparing to do for all of shippuden.
she still failed to kill him. it moves her back to part 1 when she would do anything for her precious sasuke. sakura loves sasuke, this is cannon all over the manga. this is one of the most guarenteed things we have in the manga.
