Why replace accounts?

I dont understand how members would want to do that. I mean ive said some pretty s h i tt y stuff to normal users up to mods but that still doesnt make me want to change accounts. Contrary im even more proud of my earned position. So my question to the base is, why would anyone want to start over with a new account?

Some want a username change without winning a contest/paying. Some want a new start, reputation wise (Both meanings of the word). Some are trolls who want to start new, like I said formely about rep, or trolls who want to constantly troll. Some people want back up accounts for old names they've had and to keep them. Some banned members want to check on NB while banned, which is against the rules, like most of these (if for negative reasons).

Those are the reasons I can think of.

Maybe they feel the need for a fresh start, or to distance themselves from their old account?

Personally, I wouldn't want to start over, but I understand why some people who would want to.

I guess the point of my thread was to just motivate people into keeping their old accounts. Their something irritating in seeing someone starting anew. Its just an epic fail followed by a facepalm
