People today continuously bash uchihas and say they are always inferior to senjus. Ppl on the base really don't understand how ignorant they are uchiha and senju overall are opposites and equal but there can always be tides that sway to one side or the other.
Madara's and hashirama's dad were about equal according to hashi but does that still mean senju>uchiha no it doesn't in madara's and hashirama's generation the senju had the upper hand that is mainly due to the fact that izuna and madara were inferior to hashirama and tobirama and that made senju have the clear upper hand.
As you can see later on neither tobirama(assuming he had some children) or hashirama's kids or grand kids made a huge impact other than tsunade and as you can clearly see itachi or shisui easily surpass her and add sasuke into the mix.
So if u look at it that way it seems uchiha overall had better shinobi but again it's just depends in the clan whether it produces highly proficient shinobi. So to say no matter what senju>uchiha is ignorant but during hashirama's day that is clearly true. But after that they didn't produce anyone spectacular even hahsirama's kids didn't make a mark on history except for tsunade his granddaughter.
