[Theory] Why people REALLY hate Sakura...

Sakura seems to have a disproportional amount of haters, especially on the base, and I didn't really pay much attention to it until I watched a certain AMV then suddenly all of my questions were answered. Specifically the section from 2:10 until the end:

Nice guys finish last. Sakura haters always complain about how she is "mean" to Naruto and still likes Sasuke. Saying she's "weak" and whatnot really doesn't hold any water considering she's one of the strongest of her generation outside of major plot characters and saying she's an "asspull" really doesn't fly either considering you have hawk-boy/fire-sword Sasuke standing not 10-feet away.

TL;DR: Forever alone dudes hate Sakura because she is the personification of the girl that always chooses the bad boy over them.

OMG a psychological reason why people dislike Sakura, they got they heart broken and turn that pain to hatred, hatred lead to a character that represents the girl that hurt their feelings, feeling empathy, somehow, with Naruto, a character that just cannot have a requited love by her beloved Sakura....

Summing it up, loosers hate Sakura, by dealing with their need of revenge with their actual heart-breaker.

I don't hate her, but she isn't a character I particularly like from the series. Simply put, she's a bad main character.

It all boils down to Kishi's lack of focus on her development. She had so much potential at the beginning of Shippuden, but then her development just stopped, Kishi admits he forgot about her, the main heroine and is now trying to make up for it with a badly executed power up despite being too late.

While I don't think your theory is necessarily wrong, I just don't think it's the reason she has so many haters. I feel as if the main reasons people hate her is because of her annoying, useless character in Part 1 and her ill-handled development in Part 2.

(As for me, I am in awe of Sakura at times, and at other times she annoys me, but she's an okay character overall. I did hate her in Part 1, though -- so I can't really point fingers at the Sakura-haters like you lot are doing.)

1- Tsunade is hated too, not as much as Sakura... she is a main character, she gets more panel time...

2- Of course, every generalization has a flaw, an exception, or exceptions. Sakura, was weak in part 1, but she kind helped, sometimes, i guess...
In part 2, she became a Tsunade junior, she has done so much, you really should read the manga... please make it easier for me, i don't want to have to triple this post size...

3- I understand why some people hate Sakura in part 1, but why is it all about?? When a character is weak, is it ok to hate it? So, in real life, a person who is a bad student, or lazy, or have some learning difficulty issues, you just go and hate it?? I don't hate any character, i don't need to, I am having a big time figuring out why some people do, this thread is an epic f****** answer!!

1. Fodder. Useless in most situations, she can't do anything. What happened when she tryed to kill Sasuke?

2. Doesn't do anything spectacular more than half the series, and then near the end, Kishi gives her the yin seal for the sake of plot

3. Abusive. Stop hitting Naruto! The guy saves Konoha from Nagato and returns half dead, what happens? The pink headed freak punches him

4. Annoying personality

5. Cries when put in a serious situation, haha

6. Sits her ass while Hinata has to go and almost die to try and save Naruto from Pein, just useless

7. Complete copy of Tsunade, nothing unique

8. A hoe. Chases after a guy who tryed to kill her twice and doesn't acknowledge Naruto who actually saves her life.

In the amv they actually call the girl a "hoe". I'm really on to something here I think.

I do not like Sakura simply because her character is inconsistent threw the whole story, her character does not stand out, and Sakura is very bland. Sakura is the main heroine of the story, yet her character falls way behind Naruto, Sasuke, and Kakashi. Sakura only got two good development arcs rescue Gaara arc and chuunin exam arc that's it, other then that there's nothing much to Sakura to actually care. Yes Sakura got some development recently in the chapter(a little rush), but the problem with that is Kishi waited toward the end of the manga give Sakura development when Sakura should gotten development progressively in the story.

Naruto was so nice to her, saved her life countless times and she always gave Sasuke the benefit of the doubt and time of day. That's so wrong on many levels. Now, skip to part 2.

In part 2, Sakura had a little more sympathy and patience for Naruto, especially since Sasuke left. She was generally nicer to him. What really annoyed me is that she became a hell of a lot nicer to Naruto after he defeated Nagato. She affectionately punched him on the head and hugged him after that battle. The thing that really pissed me off about her was how she treated Naruto before they found Sasuke again. In order to make Naruto break the promise he had to bring Sasuke back to the village, she told Naruto that she loved him. Naruto risked so much for her, and here she is playing Naruto for a fool and playing mind games with him. That's low on so many levels.

Sasuke has been an ass to Sakura so many times, never thought much of her and even tried to kill her (he didn't even apologize for that) and she is still smitten by him. She is even starting to go back to acknowledging Sasuke more than Naruto, as seen here:

Naruto has put his life on the line for her, was so nice to her and was always there for her. The least she could have done was give him one damn honest chance!

That is my reasoning for not liking Sakura... just her treatment towards Naruto is not acceptable to me.

She is too whipped with Sasuke. People usually say that men are thirsty... Sakura is the most thirsty woman I have ever seen. If Sasuke told her to strip naked and walk around Konoha with a slight chance that he might kiss her after she did this, she would probably do it.
