[Theory] Why people REALLY hate Sakura...

But that isn't the only reasons why Sakura is disliked around the Base. I'm indifferent towards her, as she is nothing but a drawing.

Why people really hate foddera:

1. Fodder. Useless in most situations, she can't do anything. What happened when she tryed to kill Sasuke?

2. Doesn't do anything spectacular more than half the series, and then near the end, Kishi gives her the yin seal for the sake of plot

3. Abusive. Stop hitting Naruto! The guy saves Konoha from Nagato and returns half dead, what happens? The pink headed freak punches him

4. Annoying personality

5. Cries when put in a serious situation, haha

6. Sits her ass while Hinata has to go and almost die to try and save Naruto from Pein, just useless

7. Complete copy of Tsunade, nothing unique

8. A hoe. Chases after a guy who tryed to kill her twice and doesn't acknowledge Naruto who actually saves her life.

She isn't even a main heroine, Hinata who is a side character would make a far better main heroine. Even Hinata has had more personality development and she isn't useless.

Most people are more focused on the past self than the present. Their saying she's useless b/c of the Pain Arc well that's done its over now she is doing something and is not useless and never was a fodder some say she's annoying and hasn't developed much blame Kishi not her that's the way he created her the reason why is he thinks she has gotten too cute and he created her to not understand men. So you dislikers/haters need to get over those old arcs and focus on the present ones I mean really.

Sakura actually isn't bad as most people say she is, most people hate on her for no reason just so they don't have to get flamed or get any neg reps. What I would find funny if half of the Sakura haters are really Sakura fans that would be a riot.

When it comes to Naruto yes but when he's not around no so she is more of a show off while Sakura always has been and always will be a main heroine and she don't show off as Hinata does whether you see and believe it or not

^ This, I find it to be that as well, people like forneverworld you can see this in them so clear. They obv have issues they need to work out xD They see Naruto sorta as they saw themselves. Unlike them though Sakura has been taking a turn to Naruto.

Sakura seems to have a disproportional amount of haters, especially on the base, and I didn't really pay much attention to it until I watched a certain AMV then suddenly all of my questions were answered.

Nice guys finish last. Sakura haters always complain about how she is "mean" to Naruto and still likes Sasuke. Saying she's "weak" and whatnot really doesn't hold any water considering she's one of the strongest of her generation outside of major plot characters and saying she's an "asspull" really doesn't fly either considering you have hawk-boy/fire-sword Sasuke standing not 10-feet away.

I will agree with you to some extent.
She does indeed embody the traits of the woman who repeatedly goes after the bad-boy only to end up getting hurt repeatedly.
Many males can relate vicariously by putting themselves in Naruto's shoes, seeing as some males have pursued their own 'Sakuras' in their lives only to realize later how much vanity such females posses. Personally, I've always been attracted to shy girls moreso and am currently happy in a relationship with my own 'Hinata' of sorts, so I don't have this problem anymore (as I did during my stupidity of youth in high school). Nonetheless, I can testify that it's absolutely true that good guys usually finish last with girls who resemble Sakura. This demonstrates Kishimoto's ability to exemplify truth-through-fiction by utilizing careful characterization techniques.

This is not, by any means, the only reason people don't like Sakura. ballerjordan gave a few more reasons (not all I agree with, but some that make sense). Essentially, Sakura's character resembles that girl that you were jealous of in high school because she was a *****, and yet she still magically performed well in everything she did including a thriving social life, academia, sports, etc. I think the dialogue in the first 40 seconds of the following video pretty much sums up people's more irrational feelings towards Sasuke and Sakura:
