When I say unattractive about Danzo, I mean his soul and his actions are not attractive.

Danzo was a BZ pawn. Child grooming & furthering a politics of deciept. If you hate Danzo, then that means Kishimoto is doing his job.
He's a very interesting and well-written character but an edgelord contrarian trying to make the case that he was in the right will have their work cut out for them. The sharingan wouldn't have protected the village, that was a completely obvious excuse for a chance at power. All Danzo did was sit waiting his turn. His ambition was founded on a childhood moment of jealousy against Hiruzen. What did he do against Pain? Why did he run away from the Summit?
In his first action as Hokage, he got caught being obviously evil & made the village the enemy of the entire world.
He's a middle man with dirty politics relying on the power and leadership of better men. Nobody should like him, but damn he's a compelling and well-written character.
