I saw many times people started pairing, character hating wars......i mean, anime and manga are just for fun, don't they? So, why some people debate it too seriously?
Why people debate Naruto too seriously?

Because that's how people get about the things they become passionate about. People debate the same way about sports yet sports is nothing but fun competition between two professional athletes yet it's no problem when people debate that seriously. It's the same concept.

That depends on each person's... sensitivity? I don't know the right term, but some people really take anything they like seriously, real or fictional, while some, like myself, can always stay lighthearted about said things, and won't get insulted when someone doesn't share their opinion.

People will know how successful a series is if people starts to debate and argue on how good the characters are and how they are different with the other characters.
This is a statement that Naruto is a very successful anime/manga.
