I´m actually glad the senju ass keeps on posting replacing the dozens of fandards gone due to the manga´s ending. yeah, Pain Boy waited to have a chance of hitting on Konoha after 2 of his main obstacles to do so perished, one by his own hands.

because he was looking for the tailed beasts in order. if he just blew up konoha as soon as he wanted too, he would have to keep naruto alive and trapped for ages, and people would start widely knowing about him

also, hiruzen had been dead for three years when he attacked. if the only reason he didnt attack was hiruzen, surely the best time was right after orochimaru tried to destroy konoha.
