I've seen a few threads pertaining to this matter since I joined the Base, of how Orochimaru might obtain the Rinnegan. People usually right this off as being ridiculous, but I disagree.
There are a few things we know to be true about Orochimaru. His dream is to master all jutsu known to man, he is near obsessed with immortality, and is an expert/addict to surgery and surgical enhancements.
The Rinnegan is the key to all of these things. As for Orochimaru's dream of mastering jutsu, what is better than the Rinnegan? The Rinnegan gives you access to all chakra natures, as well as the perk jutsus that come with the eye itself (Shinra Tensei, Paths, etc.) With the Rinnegan, Orochimaru would have the perfect opportunity and potential to master any and all jutsu. I believe this was foreshadowed by the fact he wanted the Sharingan so badly. Without access to the Sharingan, you can only obtain the Rinnegan through transplantation.
The Rinnegan would also aid in Orochimaru's ultimate goal of immortality. Not by actually providing it; Orochimaru has nearly accomplished that himself. No, The Rinnegan would be provide the ultimate power to preserve the immortality. As an immortal, Orochimaru would want the power of a so-called diety: The Rinnegan.
Some might say Orochimaru might not be able to obtain it, especially since it took so long for Madara to awaken it. But Orochimaru has shown time and again that he has incredible knowledge on such powers and "upgrades". While Madara had to wait to awaken it, Orochimaru most likely knows of a way to accelerate the process and obtain the Rinnegan.
This is all only supported by the fact that Orochimaru now has one of the key ingredients for the Rinnegan; Senju DNA. All that's missing is the eyes of an Uchiha, something that Orochimaru has studied on and strived for for many years. I believe he will either get a pair from Obito's stash (he has knowledge of the stash from Kabuto), as well as he could simply complete his goal of taking Sasuke's eyes.
