I dont think this is a far cry for kishi to bring him back....i guess he planned this since the bigining of the manga. But what really away and shouldnt be here, even though its probably the most epic part of the war, is the hokages return. That seemed like kishi didnt know what to do anymore and he just wanted to turn the tables in a way
