Ok I'll just go straight to the point.
Naruto as a series has so many villians.
here's my discussion on the motives and chronicles of this villians.
Nagato Motives; Nagato unfortuately had his parents killed and also his best friend Yahiko.
Because of this, he wanted to change the world for the better.
He wanted the world to know pain.
His plans was to use the Tail beast as a weapon hereby instigating fear into people to stop Wars & conflict.
Nagato was able to execute this plan barely into the recipient Hidden Rain.
He single handedly stop the war in his village!
Madara Motives; Madara was a tyrant. He's motive was simple.
Put the world under a powerful Genjustu enslaving mankind against their wills.
Obito Motives; Obito also had thesame motives with Madara considering Madara brainwash him using Rin as a source.
He also wanted to put the world under Infinite Tsukuyomi.
Sasuke Motives; Sasuke motives is somewhat convincing.
He wants to become the Hokage. But wants to Martyr the Gokages and destroy the Tail Beasts.
He also clearly stated he wants to take the burden of hatred & rule fiercefully!
Orochimaru Motives; Orochimaru intention was just to get more powers and destroy Konoha.
He didn't really care on taking over the world
Other worthy mentions;
Zabuza
Black zetsu
Kaguya
Kisame.
For me personally I think Orochimaru is still the best villan his intention was clear & geniue.
He was truely evil.
Unlike Madara, Obito, & Sasuke who were more like an anti-heroes. Save the world from hatred & war bla bla bla!
