Why Orochimaru can use Sage Mode as of now
He can use sage mode now.
It was already established he trained under the snake sage and acquired senjustu.
He couldn't use his senjustu chakra for sage mode because his then current body was literally rotting away thanks to the his own technique being reversed on him by itachi.
Then used his senjustu chakra to make the curse seals after studying juugo's clan and learning from the great white snake sage.
Also keep in mind he was eventually robbed of a portion of his chakra when his arms were sealed in the reaper death seal.
It was also noted that he had particularly strong chakra which is proven by the fact kabuto used a further portion of chakra left from his scavenged remains allowing him to utilize sage mode (Which people confuse with Juugo's DNA which allowed kabuto to continuously take in senjustu energy.) and bind an enormous amount of edo's at once.
Kabuto himself also mentions that he specifically needed anko because her curse mark retained some of orochiaru's senjustu chakra.
Now that orochimaru has a modified zetsu body (Which is comprised of nothing but hashirama's cells A.K.A. a powerful psychical body) Orochimaru can now use sage mode in combat.
Its also worth noting he now has all of zetsu's abilities.
Which means:
Perfect Chakra replication
He already had the ability to absorb chakra so,
He can meld into the earth.
He can use mokuton.
In sage mode he can:
Close his eyes and sense through heat,which in turns nullifies him from visual and sound genjustu.
Amped speed and reflexes.
And the ability to use that white dragon rage technique-That justu rocks
He already is virtually invincible and immune to almost every conventional psychical attacks.
Showed his high endurance when in a rotting body without his full chakra pool.And now he has it all back with a hashirama body what !?
