Why no one ever told Naruto?

Ok....Naruto met his father and mom Yay ..Whatever....Why is that for 16 years no one told Naruto who his father and mother were? You have the Third Hokage.....Kakashi.....Jiraiya...Tsunade....O_O Why no one told him?

They didn't want him to worry & stuff he already had went through the hating & pain suffering & stuff if they would have told him they he would leave the villiage and he would be doing the same thing Sasuke is right now but ya'll won't hate Naruto cause he's the main chara. BS

^^ If told earlier, Minato's enemies would have killed Naruto considering he is Minato's son and 9tails host.

Well the 3rd said in part 1 that Minato wanted naruto to be seen as a hero who saved the village from the nine-tails by being it's jinchuriki but everybody did the exact opposite so like one of the guys above said, they were trolling. xd

They didn't tell him because if anyone found out Naruto was the 4th Hokage's son he would be in danger? That was said by someone in the manga, I forgot who. I think it was Minato, he said something along the lines of if anyone found out you were my son you would be in danger. If they told Naruto that he was their son, with the way Naruto is I doubt he would be able to keep it a secret for very long.

So, do you tell a child that it was his own parents who subjected him to a life of hell-on-earth and complete rejection for over a decade or don't tell him, at least for a while. Kakashi or Tsunade may have been meaning to tell him sometime in the near future for all we know.
