[Discussion] Why Natsu is above Gildarts level.

Let's start off with the facts.

Natsu is E.N.D

E.N.D is the strongest demon, meaning he's even above Mard Geer who is above Gildarts, as he fought on pair with the Celestial King and withstood Natsu's attack while he was in Dragon Force.

Natsu has gone through severe training during the one year timeskip, gaining a tremendous amount of power, resulting in one shotting a foe as Blue Note.

Here he fought Gildarts during the one year timeskip.
Meaning he fought Gildarts with the powers he had attained through 3 months of training and second origin and thus far these are his results.

Imagine a fight now after the one year timeskip.
Natsu is meant to defeat Acnologia and Zeref.
They're both far above Gildarts.

we never saw gildarts in an all out battle.
He barely gets screen time in FT
I think he will always remain the strongest member of FT

Not that I disagre but it was just assumption that Gildarts is weaker than Mard.

Gildarts went all out against Bluenote who natsu one shot. I think it is safe to assume Natsu has surpassed Gildarts at this point. No where was it ever stated Gildrts was holding back during his fight on Tenrou island, so I never get where people come from when they say Gildarts hasn't shown his full strength yet. He had a battle to show off his abilities.
