Hinata has always been close by him while sasuke has been far away. Narutos trying to pull all his friends closer to him and since hinata is already close so there isnt a reason to cry out for her unless shes hurt like when pain nearly killed her.

So probably Hinata telling to Naruto that she loves him was just to show a developing on her character, by she having courage to do that.

it was all just freak accidents but what i found creepy was when the second time they kissed as they dropped down into the water, the splash turned into a heart shape. naruto and sasuke were ment to be together

i think that naruto will end up being with sakura at the end of the anime and hintata will end up being with....well.....i dont know:shrug:
