Why Naruto part 3 will fail

I wanna say, as of sales.. I mean it's Naruto they could make a spin-off about Akamaru and still sell well. But story-wise this will fail for many reasons

1. Predecessors are often hard to replace the hearts of the beloved original main characters; especially considering we've been watching Naruto and Sasuke grow for 15 years now.

2. It will feel just like a restart. Almost as if they're learning from scratch again, if not just a series redux. We already saw the struggles everyone went through to become stronger (although I would like to see Sasuke's kid awaken Sharingan)

3. Any possible threat won't feel menacing or relevant. Unless they're directly tied to the original manga, it won't feel threatening considering we've already seen Sasuke and Naruto fight at God level.

4. There's always a "back-up". What I feel may make this differ from the original Naruto series is, Naruto and Sasuke could never rely on their parents because they were dead. If these kids have an ongoing problem, Naruto (Maybe not Sasuke, I'd see him letting his kid work it out herself) would jump to his aid at the ready. Even if they don't, as the viewer, we'll always think that subconsciously.

5. We've seen mostly everything. Plot devices and power such as the tailed beasts and we know the kids probably won't get any.

I most certainly agree with 3 like who would be dumb enough to do that and their kids will grow up to be OP too nonetheless

it should either be a prequel (which would have a lot of ninja style fights like in part one and early part two) that would work. as in itachis or minatos youth and struggles and etc.


or it could be like 100years or more in the future where naruto and sasuke are just legends (like hashirama and madara) and where the whole powerlevel etc is different (lower etc)


other than that yea i agree, it would fail miserably

It depends on what they do, like, Korra seemed like it would fail, but it ended up being fantastic. Maybe they could do a reverse of what Avatar did, since the enemies of the original series were an evil army, the enemies of Korra have mostly been terrorists and the occasional war lord. For Naruto, they could make the main villains of part 3 an evil empire, maybe from space, like the Ōtsutsukis.

Yep, really into the future or most people will hate it. I already dislike their children.

Imagine hearing about characters other than Naruto and Sasuke as legends too. That would be amazing. And this way we have to kind of guess the pairings, too.
