Because on top of that, Sasuke got the Rin'negan (something Indra didn't have) and Naruto blossomed RSM and has the Bijuu's chakra, something Ashura didn't have. They're on a different tier simply because their powers are much more pure, coming directly from Hagoromo, rather than the chance genetics that Ashura and Indra relied on.

Even if Ashura didn't have Bijuu's chakra, he had something that was almost identical to a Bijuu mode. And Indra didn't have Rinnegan precisely because Hagoromo didn't give him power, which is one of the main points in the topic.

Manga said they were equal, better yet it said Ashura had the same power as Indra.



Nope RM Naruto is stronger than Rinnegan Sasuke. Their equality was lost when Sasuke stalemated RM Naruto with 8.5 bijuu.

Not really. Rinnegan Sasuke with bijuu chakra is far stronger than rinnegan Sasuke without bijuu chakra, the difference is not marginal.

I've read the topic. The power you're referring to is Ninshuu. Ashura wasn't given any power that was tangible. Indra's entire rage was based on the fact that he felt that he was the rightful heir to Ninshuu and attacked Ashura because of it. Ashura was given the rights to lead Ninshuu and we've seen that Ninshuu and power are related through understanding through equaled powered Shinobi. Indra's and Ashura's powers are only more pure than Sasuke's and Naruto's before the Hagoromo power-ups. Neither of Ashura nor Indra had half of Hagoromo's chakra each, whereas Naruto and Sasuke do.

Then that is an illogical inconsistency from what the manga portrayed.

Hagoromo clearly stated that Ashura's chakra bloomed on its own after training and was able to equal Indra on his own merit. Them being equal doesn't make sense if Hagoromo left him actual power.

He was talking about his own growth in power which bloomed because of the acknowledgments of others. Same as Naruto.

Doesn't matter, rinnegan Sasuke with bijuu chakra is a tier above rinnegan sasuke. RM Naruto stalemated that new tier, so RM Naruto is not marginally stronger than rinnegan sasuke.

We can't exactly measure the overall fight with a single clash of attacks. I agree that Naruto is stronger, but not that much that it would be visible enough in the battle.

It was not just a single clash of attacks, rinnegan sasuke with bijuu chakra made a superior PS that was manhandling bijuu avatars which was previously equal to PS, and then made his strongest attack-indra arrow. If RM Naruto can stalemate this new power, then a weaker version of Sasuke will not be marginally weaker.
