I agree. Other than the cant of Naruto-fanboys, where his values are somehow laudable - moot factor, vastly moot - I can't think of anything memorable about this character.

Probably at first the theme was friendship then it turned into something else.
Naruto when he was little as orphan he saw Sasuke something as an ideal,who came from a prestigious clan and was better at everything.He was everything that Naruto wanted to be.Probably Naruto was biggest Sasuke fanboy even while hating him Lol.

It go creepier in early Part II. Naruto looked as if he was in love with Sasuke, instead of just wanting to see him.

Kishi did zero justice for Naruto character development and most of all his goals. I see a lot of users saying Naruto has the best development, but i still the same loudmouth from Part I; he just looks older and a bit more mature. If i was Kishi, Naruto would be a star.

I always say the truth. Sasuke is a better character and i will not change my opinion on it. So yes, Sasuke> Naruto. Don't label someone you don't know well.

No my insecurities are well hidden i can assure you. Now about your post, wow... Let me start by saying that Kakashi is better than Naruto, but im making this a Naruto and Sasuke scenario, so it doesn't matter what you're thinking besides that point... Naruto is the one that has been chasing Sasuke's nuts since early Part II, so if anyone is riding any cocktails to save his plot time is Naruto. Second, Sasuke's progress is well balanced, since he is a complex character with a serious complex issue. You're unable to understand his character -- seems that you also think his development is backwards. Well, Naruto doesn't have much development without Sasuke and his friends. Heck, Gaara has more developed than Naruto and he doesn't even appear that often.
