He was being controlled only reason why Itachi sealed him was because Kabuto couldnt dodge.If knew Itachi was there then Itachi wouldnt hhave been able to get Kabuto because he would be dead.The hiints are every time when faced in direct confrontation with Nagato he hits him from behind or runs away

lol Nagato needed to get sealed, the plot demanded it. Otherwise he would've torn up the battlefield, anyways the odds were completely stacked against his favor cuz he was crippled, under kabutos control and facing two jinjuriki + an EDO itachi (who should have died ages ago during the fight because of susanoo). Point is, even with all these disadvantages Nagato still manages to rape naruto and bee and forces itachi to save them, so Nagato>all of them 1v1

Yeah, it sucked that he had to go so quickly. But to be fair, there were a few good reasons why.
He didn't get the chance to use all of his moves.
He was being controlled, so he couldn't move at his own will which more than likely would have been more skillful than what Kabuto was ordering him to do.
He was telling Bee and Naruto all of his moves so that they could dodge them.
Plot and screen time. They had to wrap that fight up quickly so that they could move on.

But Itachi did show a display of power worthy of being the victor to be fair. He was capable of overpowering Kabuto's orders, and used Ameratsu. Nagato was still stuck under his command and at his feet, so he deserved that loss.
