This is just something that hit me today. A lot of people might have thought of this but I will lay it down.

We know the rinnegan is capable of bringing someone back to life but there has been a confusion as to if there is a time limit or not. If there was a time limit, how would the rinnegan be able to revive Madara? If there wasn't a time limit, why couldn't Nagato revive Jiraiya?

Well think about it. The eyes originally belonged to Madara, therefore wouldn't it make sense for the eyes to be able to revive its owner at any given time?

Typically I don't think eyes are planning to be replaced and/or taken out of their owners head...

kishi is blowing shit, you can only revive people with less severe injuries. Like if you got stabbed by a rod you could be revived. If you got your head chopped off your done for. Thats the way it would work. Madara didn't die badly so he was able to be revived without a prob

Where does it say that?

Generally, using loopholes like that to make a story unpredictable is pretty bad writing, but yea, it may be true.

Dead is dead. If you couldn't revive a dead person due to their injuries then that would defeat the purpose.

This is a decent idea, but then what happens to his eyes? Is a new pair created or does Nagato basically die and Madara replace him and take his eyes?

I have had a simple solution to this problem for a long time that actually works with the story line. If Nagato become the Juubi's Jinchuurinki, he could theoretically revive anyone considering the Juubi has near limitless chakra. End of debate.

well jiraya's body is deep inside the ocean so even if he could revive him he would die,,,, reviving madara was the reason madara gave his rinnegan to nagato ,,, but to revive people nagato must sacrifice his life to bring them back that is Y he didn't bring yahiko back then!

That makes sense but how could that be Madara's plan if he wants the Juubi?

i dont think the eyes are really maddaras ... tobi even said his organization is to correctly lead the ones who awaken rinngan ... so there had to more possiblities other than pain ....... its still unkown its hard to say

Or since he said that he gave his eyes to Nagato, it's safe to assume he did.

That makes sense but how could that be Madara's plan if he wants the Juubi?

It would basically become a necessary aspect of his plan. Being revived is priority number one, so matter the cost, it had to be done.

Once he gets brought back, he would resume his plan which would be to essentially betray Nagato and take the Juubi back. He could try to convince him slowly to give it to him by manipulating him, or he could simply ambush Nagato after gaining his trust and kill him. I don't see any reason to think Madara couldn't kill Nagato if he had surprise on his side, especially if he was revived young. Keep in mind, reviving him to his young state is also possible given the Juubi's chakra. Hell realm restores bodies, so its not out of the question.

the reason is because Nagato was the 7th Gedo path. Controlling life and death, you bring up interesting points on the time limit

but the real interesting thing to think about is HOW DOES NAGATO REVIVE MADARA without even knowing WHO he is. At this point Tobi just introduced to himself as Madara, so how will he convince him to revive himself??

Yahiko already established in this chapter that Tobi was not Madara, so Nagato knew that. It was all a matter of time and Tobi convincing Nagato to join him and implement his plan after Yahiko's death. In time, he would have told the story of Madara to Nagato and convinced him to revive him.

I see, yes that makes sense to me, it might even go onto just that
so that could prob lead to this plan too

of course there might still be more events to happen between "Tobi" and "Yahiko" as tobi somehow convinces Yahiko of akatsuki

Clearly Tobi did in fact influence Yahiko. I think Tobi didn't have to do too much with Nagato, it was simply a matter of whispering in his ear and as soon as Yahiko died, Nagato was his.

As for Yahiko, he likely did the same thing but tried harder to convince him. There is no way they could have avoided Tobi at all times, Tobi likely put a lot of time in influencing Yahiko before his death.

I don't see how Obito himself couldn't do this or is it that the user dies after reviving in this case as well?

I think you need the "7th Path" to be able to do this, and Obito even though equipped with Rinnegan, isn't the 7th Path of Gedo

Also going back to the whole Yahiko thinks its not madara anymore. But do you think Yahiko is willingly going to accept tobi's "influence" on akatsuki without knowing who he is?
IDK

Something will happen in the following chapter which will make him want to believe. He will go along with Tobitos plan but only to gather the bijuus and use it for his own plan to bring about peace.
