Why Minato vs Itachi is so spoken about? and relationship between the two characters.

so guys,my humble question to all of you

why is Minato always pitted against Itachi? what makes you relate Itachi with Minato as face-off?

its like Lion vs Tiger dude,nobody reaching a conclusion and am not talking about fanboys stuff.

logically i dont see the debate ending anywhere.i love both the characters and they are my favourite.even i at times, pit them one on one.

your views please.

because there both strong character with interesting abilities and both played there will role very well in the story.

Me personally i see itachi coming out on top for various reasons.

Mostly because they have similar characteristics.

Calm in battle, stoic, intelligent, and they both have the same mystery behind their abilities. And the fact that a fight between them would be extremely interesting to see.

Personally, I don't think the fight would have a winner, if the two were in character when they fought. They're too even in skill and believe in the same ideals.

i guess because
minato is the father of naruto the main character and is just like a older version naruto
itachi is the brother of sasuke the other main character and is just like a older version of sasuke
they both effected the story, have cool character models, battle style, and just swag really
and most likely the fact this fight might never happen and its so interesting guessing the outcome

i too hav the same opinion though iwould say Minato slightly(51%)

Tiger > Lion.

Both characters fulfill the "sue" category, with Minato being Naruto's sue and Itachi being Sasuke's sue.

So when you have two cooler versions of the main characters, then that's who people will debate over.

both are very similar in character and ideal IMO and they both seem to complement each other.(itachi praising minato or minato praising itachi).
