being hokage isnt all about how strong they are 
minato was picked because he was strong and he was the fastest ninja at that time plus he had sealing jutsu's so if the village was in danger by another village then he could wipe them out before they even get into the city minato is probs the 3rd strongest but one of the BEST hokages there was because he could protect everyone in the village very well.

because minato is weaker than them dats why and he didnt defeat tobi..tobi was more concerned abt the kyuubi...

the fact that in the naruto series everybody feared minato, and watching the tobi fight over ten times just to understand why people fear minato, i'll say from what i've seen there are not even a single ninja who could have beaten minato cause you won't have the chance before you know it you already dead, for instance the guy beat tobi who has a tone of chakra and control kyubi with a mere sharingan and the teacher of itachi, and watch kakashi gaiden for a second and the smartest in the narutoverse because people call him a prodigy meaning above genius.
People keep saying a prodigy like minato only have rasengan for ninjutsu while the guy sees the beast bomb once and created the miniature of it and the same shape and by only looking at a technic the guy already know the strength and weaknesses of a techic and you say he only had rasengan. And rasengan is perfect match of the chidori the more power you put in it the more powerful it gets dmontrate by jiraiya to naruto.
oro is far weaker than minato oro fought a half spent kyubi inside naruto and lose and would have been dead due to chakra blank that yamato and sakura save him by suppressing naruto chakra shroud and minato fought a fearsome ninja like tobi and the nine tail altogether and win. Bee and A couldn't beat minato both have tail beast chakra and A waist ton of chakra by chasing minato while he almost got killed and Bee lose a tentacle and almost lose his life and the girl that kabuto capture said that if mnato was alive he would taken care of oro and you guys tell me oro is in minato league, the reason oro left the village is because they third chose minato over him and begun to obsess with forbidden jutsu to be imortal and couldn't attack the village because minato was there to stop him.
Minato was jiraira student and too sharp to be alive, jiraiya got a ton of jutsu and you said minato only had rasengan, minato trained under jiraiya his whole life til hokage.
minato is the second stronger hokage there is after hashirama senju, he and the second knows the same sensing ability and almost the same s/t except minato's faster and minato is the fastest in narutoverse, and the third hokage respest minato for his brain, speed, sealing, and s/t ninjutsu.
I am not a fan boy cause i only dislike naruto for chasing after sasuke and the rest of the character are all my favorite. startin with itachi.

3RD REALLY? Even the 3rd says the 4th is stronger. Plus every one around the 3rd and I remeber when Oro was invading/plotting some one said if only the 4th was here. They said that to the third and he did not even try to argu. In fact looked like he was thinking the same damn thing.

Yeah it is a dump point. Tobi used chains for a tactical advantage... Which failed.

Minato is underrated. What if he could be sage?
If he was one of the hokages fighting Madara, then he would be able to
1) Teleport meteor away.
2) Teleport behind sussano.
3) Make use of the forrest jutsu to his own advantage.
4) Make a solid battle plan.
5) Make use of the split second interval against the almighty push.
6) Kisi has already stated he is the strongest dead sinobi.
This Madara is stronger because he is able to use both senju and his own power.
And if Minato was able to get into sage mode then he would be both be faster and a strong sensor.

Minato had the potential to be the strongest and best. He died young, due to being unable to fight Kurama. His stamina has always been at question, quite low really. Minato wasn't as strong as a Prime Hiruzen, Nidaime or Shodaime. End of story.
If you ask me, Jiraiya and Orochimaru could easily fight Minato, people put too much faith in the speed blitz.

In my opinion Minato Is overrated by the fans but then again what character is not? some will always hold bias towards there favorite character. Minato was strong though. However he was not the strongest hokage. I do believe at one point he was the strongest ninja in the world at one time [due to the old age of Hiruzen Sarutobi.] There has not been a counter to the flying thundergod technique to date. Minato admitted tobi has better space time jutsu than him and still managed to strike tobi with the technique. Minato deserves alot of credit but i do believe he is very overrated.
