Why Minato is One of the Strongest if not the Strongest.

Minato is my favourite character. IMO he is one of the greatest of all time. But he certainly isn’t the strongest. He still had potential and up to date we don’t know all his jutsu’s and skills. But he is dead. So may be we’ll never know.

I really like it that he is one of the few shinobi’s who doesn’t have a KG, isn't a jinchuuriki and is not running around with senju cells implanted. Also he doesn't have any other "pulled-out-of the ass upgrade” and isn't just total overpowered. But he still can keep up with the strongest. And that makes him exceptional IMO. Also I think he has a great personality.

Minato and threads concerning him seem to be a big issue on this page. I also read post’s of member saying that they don’t like Minato because of his fanboys. But I really don’t understand that. Either you like a character or you don’t. Fact is, every character has fanboys and of course haters. And haters are much worse than fanboys! I know one thing…. Minato certainly has the most haters(hate threads) around here! Which has also been confirmed in one thread about Minato by a moderator. And he/she should know it right….

Lets see Now 4th Goes to War 4th is Now All Ready to Fight Masked man & 9 tails, When we see him arriving in leaf look at his Eyes It is Full of Confidence Like He Knows He can Take Down 9tails, even When He knows that the masked Guy is Madara He thinks He Have to kill This Guy, that means 4th Knows He can Kill Him...

3.The Battle Between Madara & Minato it Comes Down to speed & we Can Clearly See in Manga That 4th Wins the battle of speed, the 4th wounds Madara & Release 9tails Out of Madaras Control in just 1 Move ( So u can imagine If they had Fight Until Last Madara was surely Dead ) But Madara Chicken Out of Fight after all This Time He prepared To attack Leaf His Plans Were Destroyed by only 1 man Who didnt even know What was Coming After Him Still He(4th) Beated Madara.

4. 4th was Ready To fight 9tails when he Returned to village We see all shinobi in Village Failed against 9tails Including 3rd Hokage himself, 4th Returned in time to save Them, then he see Kushina Trying to Sacrifise Her Life to Seal 9tails Again ( Please Note : 4th could have defeated 9 tails but only reason he didnt bcause it would hav Unbalanced the power of tailed beasts & weaken the power of Konoha )

5. Still 4th had something to stop 9tails but seeing kushina giving her life & when Kushina says Only Regret She has is She Wont Be able to see Naruto growing Then we see 4th's Expression Changed like he made his Mind to Let Kushina Gave 1 more Chance to see Naruto again Even If he Has to Die For It.... Thats How it is Neither Madara Nor 9tails could Have managed to Defeat Minato only thing defeated Him Was His Love For His Wife & the Beleive in his son that he is one his Master( Jiraya) told about The Child Who Bring Peace in The world.....

For Battle skills :

1. The Real Madara is beast right But he cant ven handle the speed of Raikage i Doubt he could even manage to see Minato.

2. Rasengan of Minato is not a joke the only thing that didnt killed tobi cause Tobi is not using a Human body its a Zetsu clone still the impact of Rasengan was big enough to broke his zetsu clone arm. I bet if any Human body get taste of Real rasengan then they are dead meal.

3. Space time technique . do you guys ever thought if madara or any high powered ninja used a massive heavy attack on minato He will Turnit back on then just like he blocked kyubi's Tail beast bomb. only this time he will send it straight to the enemy area.

4. Last but not least a Guy who can seal a 100% power kyubi can Easily seal any Ninja with his Demon death seal & then the Game is over no matter who u are how strong you are.

5. One Question why doesnt Madara, Hashirama, Hiruzen, or any Akatsuki member Gets a " Flee on Sight " thing ?

What jiraiya said about a once in a decade genius is his opinion no different to what A said about him being unsurpassed. That is their opinion and nothing more.

sasuke is the "main villain" of this series but fugaku was probably not that strong


nobody said that minato is weak
but he is NEVER the strongest shinobi in narutoverse
if he would be the strongest than he would be still alive
and would have not died against kyuubi

From what ive gathered and from what the manga says, minato was about the same level as A before he died. If thats the case his power level might be inferior to current A and many of todays opponents.

yeah he sure didnt make his homework. lol old hiruzen was stated that he is the strongest amongst the 5 kages despite his old age. and a 12years younger sarutobi from 9tails attack, minato was stronger. even if A raikage is stronger a little with sarotobi theres no way A surpasses minato at this moment.

Minato could have become the strongest, but at the very least Hiruzen Saurtobi was stronger than him. And this statement came from a student of the Hiruzen, and even another student of his, Tsunade, agreed with this.

Madara has Rinnegan, which can absorb Rasengan. No matter how devastating and powerful Minato's Rasengan is, and it is, he can't his Madara with it.

You're assuming Minato's going to attack head on. That's not how he fights.

Dan died before Minato was even around you know. He doesn't know the strength of those that came after him obviously.

Minato like any other strong character is popular and overrated no different to itachi, nagato, naruto, sasuke etc. He is mostly ridiculously overrated because apparently being the main characters father means you stand equal to the sage, there are people who underrate him aswell.

Now people need to distinguish between facts and opinions. Minato is no doubt a genius and has gotten praise by those who knew him, but you see so has other geniuses like itachi, kakashi, sasuke, neji, sarutobi, oro, kabuto etc. Every genius in the series has gotten praise.

What jiraiya said about a once in a decade genius is his opinion no different to what A said about him being unsurpassed. That is their opinion and nothing more. If you havent noticed both A and jiraiya arent the brightest of people and are bound to be impressed by very little genius feat and with that stated their opinion.

Now minato is strong but alot of characters from what we have seen are stronger. It was said that he had fought A, a couple of times and neither could get the best the other although from the meeting we saw minato did best A in the duel. Now minato died, his potential stopped. A was alive and grew stronger. Im certain if minato was to face current A (both arms), he would face a completely different A than the one he faced. Fact is whilst Minato's power was stunned, A grew stronger and would give him a harder time if they wereto face each other again. Who would win, ive no idea.

Tsunade disagree with Jiraiya about there not being someone who can be hokage besides he but didn't when Jiraiya said they haven't seen a genius like Minato yet and they have seen Shikamaru, Shikaku, Kakashi, Neji, Sasuke, and Itachi.

How is Jiraiya not bright? Yes he acted like a goof a lot but when he was serious he was smarter and wiser then Kakashi, Tsunade and others. Jiraiya was the one who got all of the useful information by spying on Orochimaru and Akatsuki and you have to be pretty skilled and/or smart to not get caught by S class ninjas who have sensory types like Zetsu and Pain. As I remember Jiraiya gathered info on Pain thru rookies and with that info concluded Pain was very powerful and dangerous enemy and sent the Key to Naruto's seal away in case he didn't make it.

Also I would like to point out that A and Bee were a tag-team so it would have been Minato vs A and Bee over the years. Minato clearly had the advantage and would have severly injured or kill A if Bee wasn't there. Remember that Minato learned the rasengan by seeing a tbb and Bee is the only one we know Minato fought more than once. A might have gotten stronger but he still said now that Minato is dead he is the fastest ninja in the world so if Minato was alive then he wouldn't be, he could have said I've surpassesd Minato's speed or something to that effect.

A might not be the smartest of the bunch but we all know he respects power, and he did respected Minato so for him to say he thought no one would surpass Minato is the word of a Kage, Shinobi Alliance leader and power house of his own. Yes Minato was surpassed by some but he is still the smartest in the manga without a doubt and that's how he would beat those who have surpassed him.

Not sure what the first paragraph was supposed ti hint about A, but his emotions and hot temper is what caused him not lose an arm against sasuke but also to be disregarded as the leader of the alliance.

Jiraiya is minato's teacher, he would say that about him no different to what sarutobi says about oro. What kakashi says about sasuke...etc. Every genius has gotten praise by their teacher and this is no different. What jiraiya said is specifically confined to his other students, being nagato, konan, yahiko and naruto. If he was to teach all the genius and say such a statement will i take it as a fact, but what he said is limited to his students only because he hasnt trained any other genius to make his statement valid.

Obviously jiraiya isnt an idiot, but he isnt the smartest either.

Actually the only time we saw their duel, bee was with A along with other cloud fodders. But from A's speech it seems to have usually a 1 vs 1 duel. Minato is faster due to ftg, but in base speed, in shunshin A in v2 is faster. Also Minato's kunai wouldnt have left a mark on A. We saw that sasuke's chidori sphere left a little mark on A who complimented that he was able to leave such a mark on him, this hints that he is very confident in his defence. Secondly he tanked Juugo blast from point blank range and nothing happened. That kunai wouldnt have done anything. Bee being a brother would automatically rush to A's defence because its instinct, he reacted before he can even think

Youve already acknolwedged that what a said was false, because there are lot of stronger opponents than him. Smartest in the manga?, thats your opinion and nothing more. I find it annoying when minato fans along with itachi fans and shikamaru fans keep on saying he would find a way because he is smart. You see just because you can figure out a technique doesnt mean you have what it takes to use it to your advantage
