I just noticed it but remember that he marked Obito during his fight:
You must be registered for see images
After that he had to take care of the Kyubi, then he sees the Kyubi about to launch a TBB
You must be registered for see images

Don't you think that instead of teleporting the Kyubi and his blast somewhere else, he could have teleported his TBB alone to Obitos location which could have killed him?

There is also something weird during that same chapter. Look at this pic:

On this pic, Minato prefers to stab Obito with a kunai, but i wonder why he didn't simply cut his head at that moment. I know he wanted to stop the Kyubis control before, but if Obito was dead at that moment, Kyubis control wouldn't have been stopped also?

Maybe it's only plot which wanted Obito alive this day. What do you think?

He didn't warp it back on Obito possibly because he was not quite sure where he might have been . It may have been possible that Obito escaped to a location with people around . Also by then he'd conveniently forgotten that he could kill Obito.

Or his FTG might not have worked in Obito's dimension . He wouldn't be concerned about getting warped if that wasn't the case .

And yeah the other one is due to obvious plot reasons . Nothing stopped Minato from planting a Kunai in his head or shoving it up his ass or landing a rasengan on his face .

Maybe because Tobi rubbed the mark off with his tongue. Besides perhaps the technique was too fast enough for him to teleport it to Tobi.

I was going to suggest something along the line of your first point, I don't think Minato forgot about the seal he placed on Obito he was just cautious in case Obito was in the village.

@OP: A point about the not cutting off Obito's head, maybe Minato intended to disable him with a severe wound and then get some answers about who this attacker was, how he got though the seals around the cave and what his goal was.

And is it said anywhere that he can't ?

Its because of the second point I posted.

What ?

He was not going to waste his time interrogating Obito when Kyuubi was on a rampage.

In the end he was justified in not going after Obito as , if he was even a split second late Kyuubi would've annihilated Konoha .

Obito most likely removed the Seal right after he escaped.

Firstly minato wouldnt know how far away from the village tobi is therefore it would be a risky move if tobi is not far away from the village, its not worth risking the safety of the village when he could wrap it to a place that he knows is safe. Secondly size and distance comes into play. We know the size of a tbb. Lets assume tobi was back at the akatsuki hideout which is quiet some distance away from konoha. To wrap a tbb to him from such a distance would take quiet alot of his chakra and he needs that to contain the fox like he did later on

It's said that when Minato mark someone or something he knows his location everywhere he goes

If minato was to hit tobi with the Tbb, then there would be no tobi to start this war or to lead the Akatsuki... It's obviously just plot! If we were to sit and think of every hypothetical solution there would be unlimited outcomes and a complete different story. If plot wasn't involved then tobi would have been dead that night against minato.
