Are you questioning yourself why they like it? Why they want it? Why they do it? For example the tree of adam of one piece, devil fruit, pirates like blackbeard, yata miror on naruto, izanagi, izanami. Bleach, hxh, full metal alchemist, all this manga was influence by real world stories, myths, legends, real people but why they like to do it?

The answer:

All this manga authors was usually took the course of fine arts or above that...
In fine arts it so easily to get influence by anything, if you see a stone for example, you can make it something a villain who breaths fire, with laser beams while growling with anger, thats just a example how they sometimes see it.

Tradition is one of the answer, many countries have so many traditions thaosand of thaosands of tradition, in their mind, they want it to be alive...

theres a lot but theres one thing that connects manga authors as one! and That is "Change"

It is just an endless chain. From the Bible to One Peice. It's all the same. They are stories. The stories are linked to tradition. Basically it's a game of telephone.

It's not bad that they take influence. People like what they know but a little different. Plus it's impossible to create something from a vacuum. You need reference points.

It is their point of view on life, the world, and belief.

Sady, Masashi Kishimoto believes that one person(Naruto) should have all that power. But Now he regrets creating Creating a Naruto religion. He trying to change that with Boruto now.

But yeah, each manga is pretty much is the Fantasy world of its author.

Real people means real life. Is a basic ingredient for any good story.
Legends and myths are old stories, a lot of them writed long after their creation and they have been told through generations. The fascination of these is given by the beauty and genuine plot where the light is always more powerful than darkness. They are not stories easy made and quickly put on paper, they resisted through time. Any part of the world has its legends many of them explaining the Earth creation and stuff. They inspire not just the manga creators but any writer.

Change is something catchy for the reader. He knows the legends and old stories and recognise them in manga and after waits the mangakas own version. Is like "lets see how smart this guy is"... Being a mangaka looks hard job nowadays.
