i liked man of steel, after watching the boy scout on smallville for 10 years, it was nice to see a different take on superman

I loved the movie. It actually made sense. 90% of the hate really has no ground. They actually act superman was super knowledgeable about the entire world,knowing every language,every fighting style and has 100% complete control over his power within moments of unlocking it.

The old movies made Zero sense in a realistic world. Superman existing would destroy america because 70% of the country thinks jesus and angels are real and Superman would change everything.

The flashbacks where done well,powerful moving and not the same generic BS we all know. The SAME BS everyone cried about the movie having then ***** when the movie got them out of the way.

The battles made sense. Superman alone fighting 1 guy brings in over a billion in damage. There were like FOUR Equally powered Supermans. 3 of actually know how to fight. And um a teraforming machine operating to reduce the entire planet back to nothing. So no shit their was damage.

I just think it's stupid everyones crying for humor in a serious movie. the movie did not once promise humor in ANY of it's trailers. Go hate the dark knight for not having bright colored super gods joking and palling around for the kids. That shit gets annoying. The Dark Knight Rises had soo many plot holes it was stupid. The cops were stuck underground for 3 months....And they all shaved?

This is the worst criticism. He clearly didn't want to kill. He begged Zod to stop. If he didn't kill Zod, an innocent family would have died. He would not have been a hero. Their deaths would have been on his hands because he lacked the resolve to do what is necessary.

The problem with that movie which makes it the worst movie I've seen this year is that Superman has no character. He's an archetype. All of his flashbacks were told out of order, meaning I could not get invested in this character. The one good character-building scene was when his mom calmed him down. That scene was awesome but one scene can't save a movie. The villains' plan was boring and stupid. Zod's henchwoman was better than him. No characters were developed. Thus, I wasn't invested into the story. The action was repetitive and too much. Give me a scene where a character is developed. Blowing stuff up does not make a movie good. Characters make a movie good.

I'm not sure what any of your Zod rant had to do w/ my post. For that movie, he had little character development. His henchwoman was more intimidating than him. the entire movie I did not take him seriously. He got my respect for adapting to Earth but that was it. To me, he's just 2-dimensional and boring. This character has been done countless times, and it has been done better countless times. Off the top of my head Battlestar Galactica's Helena Cain. Much better character than Zod

No, I will not shut up about the origin story. You need to find a balance between character and action. Superman Returns did not find this balance. It tried and failed to focus on character and have zero action. This movie concentrated all on action with no development. It did not find this balance. They're both awful movies but awful in different ways. Batman Begins was awesome. It found balance. It took a character origin story that we all know and created a well developed character. This movie did nothing. Superman has no character. I was never invested in his story.

Not sure what you're talking about with Bane. I hate this movie poor development of character. I've never read a comic. I don't know what your talking about. the movie did not develop character, except in a few scenes that are few and far in between.

Superman never had character or story and was always an archetype until they came out with Earth One. You can't ***** about Superman being bland when he's F#CKING bland by nature you botched abortion. Superman didn't get any "character" until the 1990s. And the flashbacks were told in order you brain donor. We saw Krypton's destruction, we saw Kal-el's ship head to earth, we saw Supe as a kid, we saw Supe as an older kid, we saw him as a teenager. The movie isn't going to retread 75 years of history in two hours. WTF did you expect when you went to see it you douche-eater?
