Lately there has been a lot of discussion running about concerning the matter of Madara since he is still alive after the defeat of Kaguya.

I will add my own personal input on why I wholeheartedly believe why Madara will no longer further his agenda to harm the shinobi world. That reason alone being that his illusion of a "perfect world" in Infinite Tsukuyomi has been completely shattered and the deceit of Black Zetsu, with the revelation being that he was nothing more than a mere pawn for Kaguya's revival which was orchestrated by the duo.

With that knowledge at his disposal, the best solution for him at this point would be to revert back to the same Madara that Hashirama remembered(loved?) before they came across the defiled tablet of the Six Path. The very same Madara that wanted what was best for his own village and the sake of the Uchiha clan along with the rest of Konoha, provided with knowing that the world has finally stopped it's cycle of hatred thanks to the doing of Naruto(and to a small degree, Sasuke).

Despite the questionable way on how he performed morally(specifically with Rin's death), in the end his quest for peace was the same as Obito in terms of wanting to create a world where no shinobi would have to die, no one would lose their beloved siblings in a war that has no meaning as he did for so many years.

Short version: Madara can only be convinced through experiencing something, not through just words, having now know that the Infinite Tsukuyomi is not meant to create a dream world, along with a near-death experience will do it for him.

I will admit, he was the best antagonist of the series.

I tend to agree. He left the village espousing an alternate interpretation of the stone tablet. Since BZ played all the Uchia by changing the tablet, there should be no reason for him to do anything but apologize to Hashirama at this point. Likely that is his last breath (assuming he wakes up at all).

You made really good points here. I thinkI agree with you. Madara in my opinion was well intentioned with his goals, but he went about achieving them in an extreme way. He might realize that the path he chose in the end was not the best decision.nice thread!
