Why MADARA hide his left eye?

I think he lost that eye, because his mask has only one hole.

i figure he lost his eye to shodaime think about it he lost his eye in a epic battle for hokage survived and prob heard of the truce the uchia clan made with the leaf village and disowned them for that then tried to atack the village with the nine tails minato distracted by madra and used the fox to keep all the other ninjas from ganging up on him be cool battle 2 space time jutsus but anyway madra losses his eye(second theory of who he lost his eye too ) now madra is at half his power so he needed stronger ninjas to get the kyubis since he isnt as strong as he used to be and hes using sasuke just liek hes using akutsi well thats my theory
