Why Madara could use Kamui and Obito could not

There is a reason why Madara was able to use Kamui even though Obito could not. We know that one cannot use Jutsu on Juubi Jinchuriki. But if one has Sage mode, he can add it to his Jutsu to use it on Juubi Jinchuriki. Madara had Sage mode before becoming Juubi Jinchuriki.
