Hmm..I'm not sure what all this Sasuke-hate is about. Believe it or not, Uchiha Sasuke's role is extremely important, considering he acts as the opposing force to Naruto. I'll even go as far as saying if Sasuke died, most people wouldn't be interested in Naruto's "adventure" anymore. Truth be told, we're ALL dying to see the next - if not FINAL - battle between Naruto and Sasuke. There can be no protagonist without an antagonist. And Sasuke has proven himself legendary by going from anti-hero/secondary protagonist to antagonists. Not many characters can do that successfully.

As far as his genius-level intellect and "overpowered state" is concerned, what the hell? We've seen overpowered characters in the past. Hidan and Kakuzu were near IMMORTAL. I can give the Sasuke-haters a bunch of examples where NARUTO was overpowered during which his development didn't make sense either. Some basic examples?

Naruto...

1) learning the Rasengan in a shorter period of time than Yondaime and Jiraiya (two genius-level shinobi) does NOT make sense. Not only that, but he surpasses the Yondaime by succeeding in nature manipulation? Since when is Naruto such a genius...
2) achieving and mastering Sage Mode in what...less than a month of two months? does NOT make sense. Old Frog says "Looks like Naruto-chan has surpassed Jiraiya-chan". WTF? Since when..Naruto's like 15.
3) Not only does he master Sage Mode in an overpowered manner, but he beats Pain when the ENTIRE village had trouble putting a scratch on him. Kakashi sacrificed his life to barely take out one Pain. HAHAHA and you say Sasuke's overpowered? Naruto became the strongest shinobi in the village in two episodes.
4) Using Henge to transform into a Rasenshuriken? WTF That caught me off guard..

I know in terms of quantity, that may not be a lot of examples, but that's definitely enough to prove that all your bashing on Sasuke's limitless chakra and infinite development as a shinobi is nonsense. At least Sasuke's growth has some backup: he was born into one of the greatest ninja clans the world has ever known. :DDD

Sasuke isn't a villian, he is still an anti-hero. He was doing what he believed was right and also he as getting corrupt by Itachi, Oro, and Tobi but he never was a villian, it was always tobi and Oro.

Naw man, once he assaulted the 5 Kage summit, he was a villain. He was still an anti-hero when he kinda captured Bee.

OT: Eh, fair enough

Sasuke is not an antihero, antiheroes do good things using questionable methods, Sasuke's actions are not good. He was more of an anti-villain before Bee, he had questionable ends, but his methods and he had a human side to him. After the Kage summit, he seems to more like a proper villain but still is an anti-villain, because you can feel sorry for him.

OP: Yeah, I like Naruto, his simple idealism helps me forget how complex and dark the world is, and his perseverance has personally affected me and helped me strive towards my goals too.

Edit: Naruto has to develop quickly for it to work within the plot and he has had to work hard for it, he also had shortcuts making it easier for him, I don't hate Sasuke, but Sasuke is just a foil, he is there just to help Naruto get stronger, and highlight aspects of his personality you don't get in Sasuke. His very existence is for the character of Naruto.
