Why Konoha didn't give a damn about Uzumaki village and let them to be destroyed ?

The Uzumaki land was in a far off place from Konoha, on top of being in an island location. I think the whole village was destroyed in a surprise attack and Konoha was not able to help because : A) The Huge distance + Remote Location or 2) The information reached Konoha too late.

Because Danzo was behind it, that much is obvious. Knowing him, he used ROOT to work with the Cloud village and Orochimaru in secret which explains how Karin survived and how Raikage knew of Itachi's Amaterasu

Think of it this way, Danzo wants control over Kurama but can't get it because of the Uzumakis, he can't wipe them out either because of Minato and Kushina's power.

So he waits until their death to wipe out the only people that can threaten his plans while Orochimau would have kidnapped Karin because he had already defected from Konoha.

Isn't it obvious? Konoha, and by extension the Senju, never truly cared about their ties, their treaties and their promises. The Will of Fire was and is, nothing but a sham. Look at Naruto? He isn't even slightly perturbed about Orochimaru's wanton experiments. But as long as it isn't on his door-step, it isn't a matter of Konoha's concern. All those promises ...

They took what they could from the likes of several clans, and when time came to actually aid those in need who had aided them in the past, Konohan lobby reverted back to its actual policy of to "subjugate and slaughter / destroy" all those that they either didn't deem decent after retaliations resulting from their disgusting political policies or they simply reinforced their behaviours through further sanctions. As Eddy had served its purpose by passing on the sealing techs, I seriously doubt they were of much use to them.

um Mito was chosen to be Jinchuriki because the Uzumaki were the only clan in the village with a strong enough life force to surpress the Kyuubi chakra.....

.....plus the bijuu seal used to make Jinchuriki were created from Uzumaki sealing jutsu. Also we don't really know if the Uzumaki were destroyed during Hiruzen's reign ( though you are probably right in this)

If that's directed at my post...I don't hate Madara...Having Madara do it would fit with the story-line since he knew where to find a young Uzumaki(Nagato) to implant his eyes into.

If people want to consider him evil, they already can due to the Obito/Rin curse seal thing.

The hidden Eddy Village wasn't to far from Konoha. Remember in the war arc Sasuke an comp was in Konoha right before they went to the Eddy village and it didn't take them to long to get there (they were walkin) from Konoha.

With the Eddy village being closer then sunagakure it's almost likely Danzo had his sticky fingers involved in the demise of the Uzumaki clan.

The Uzumaki were one of the most feared and respected clans in existance.

Obviously Konoha was unable to assist them in time before their country was destroyed. I've seen Konoha run to help other countries, so they would MOST DEF help out a strong ally for obvious battle reasons. Wouldn't you always want to protect a country full of shinobi who are masters at using seals....?

I believe the Uzumaki Clan wwas annihilated during Hashirama's reign.

Also, it was nothing Konoha can do about it. They had enemies.

according to the story of Kushina's chakra imprint, it happened during Hiruzen's first tenure as Hokage. Mito was shown to be an extremely old woman when it happened, so it is literally impossible for it to have happened when Hashirama was alive.

the Whirpool wasn't that far off from Konoha at all. Looking at the distance between the 2 places on a map, it couldn't have been any more than a 3 to 5 day run. Konoha-nin went just as far when they wanted to go mess up somebody else's country.
