Because the plot demanded it. But who cares? Sasuke would have won. He was already fighting on par with Kinshiki in taijutsu and kenjutsu combat despite only having one arm. If he used his MS or Rinnegan techs, it would be too much for Kinshiki to handle.
After sasuke used ameno did he realize sasuke has to recharge his eye and kinishiki would have soloed him ?

BTW, Adult Sasuke doesn't need to recharge his powers like Teen Sasuke because the limitations are gone. He could even use Ameno twice with his powers gone and chakra diminished due to dimension travelling.

sasuke used ameno once. he can use at the least 3 times before is has to recharge so I don't see how the battle would have been over.
