Don't worry, I'm not here to defend Kishi or state the obvious. People complained that the Obito flashbacks brought more questions than answers. They're partially right. I believe that the flashbacks we've gotten were not meant to comfirm everything, but to take the first step to hopefully something huge. After all, ending a storyline with a epic finale is crucial. It somewhat decides how people will remember Naruto.

And Kishi's specialty are the plot twists on every corner. Whether they're small ones like Pain being Jiraiya's student and Kushina being the previous Jinchuuriki or they're big ones like Itachi's loyalty to the Leaf and Obito being Tobi all along, he realizes it keeps the readers talking and interested. Remember how everybody reacted to the recent sudden bloodbath? People loved it... because it was shocking and unexpected.

So I believe Kishi is holding back because once it's revealed...

1. Why Kakashi killed Rin
2. What was so special about her
3. What the situation with the Mizukage, Kisame and the Bloody Mist was
4. Where Spiral Zetsu is
5. Why Obito attacked Konoha
6. And what exactly went down in the Uchiha massacre

... it might just completely turn the storyline upside down (in a good way), which is a trump card Kishi would want to use for the right moment. And there's a good possibility that Kishi can't explain it until the end of the battle, just to keep the intensity. It's also likely that these 6 mysteries are all connected to each other. For example, it could be impossible to reveal why Obito attacked Konoha without also explaining about Yagura + the Mist or the reason behind Rin's death to fully understand.

Anyway, I don't want to bore you to death haha... so I'll just summarize it. Perhaps Kishi can't fully explain just one scene to us, as he will need to reveal everything connected to it... and it make sense he doesn't want do 10 chapters of flashbacks in one go, when there's an epic battle going on. So it's all about waiting for the right moment, which is perhaps near the end of the War arc. And perhaps we can expect an epic plot twist to come out of it as well, as he needs to go all out with the action and story.

Tsukyomi can be broken by those who have the same eyes. Let's say you are an Uchiha would you go willingly to an eternal sleep? Or would you fight the Genjutso? Now multiply that by the whole Uchiha Clan....

What I'm trying to say is that it's sort of obvious why the Uchiha Clan had to go in order for the Moon Eye Plan to be achievable and permanent. Otherwise Madara/Obito would have to deal with I don't know how many Uchiha's who are bound to have sharingans and bound to be blood related to either one of them, be it more closely or further apart.

Taking out the Uchiha Clan was the logical way to ensure that any major threat to the MEP was eliminated. As we know Sasuke's survival was not intended by no one apart from Itachi, who misteriously became so ill he had to resort to heavy medicine in order to live up to the age of 25 or something. Coincidence? I don't think so.

If you pay attention Obito only marches forward with his plans after Itachi is dead and he had always hoped for one to kill the other. Fortunately for him, Itachi let his brother live, which proved in handy as Nagato had died.

But all summed up it's pretty obvious that the goal was always to eliminate any Uchiha that might attempt to frustrate the MEP.

That's one less needing explanation.

1. and 2. We might never know..... And personaly, its not realy that important, its just out of curiosity from the naruto manga fans.
3. Mizukage is dying like the rest of the kages.... what about Kisame? he wasnt revived by the edo-tensi.... erm blood mist was.....? was what? do you meen the 7 hiddin mist swordsmen? (ya, not the best speller) They got sealed up..... thats why kakashi is fighting with naruto now.....
4. No idea, but I think it simply merged with obitos body, it would explain the silly tobi personality that he has, obito is just way to serious for that....
5. Ah finaly a good question, but we have no idea..... The only thing that was going through his mind was "I don't care about this world anymore" just becuase rin died? It's pretty juvenile thinking of Kishimoto to expect us to accept that the situation with Rin is good enough reason for Obito to have done all the things he's done....Never the less, he needed the 9 tails for the moon eye plan, but to summon it to konoha just to destroy the entire village seems a little odd, even for obitos evil standerds.......
6. I don't realy think thats relevent to anything that we are talking about, as far as im consered, itachi and obito killed them all..... Besides, in the end who cares when we know all the uchiha were killed anyways? But I supose it would be somewhat intresting....

Also, whenever an important flash back comes, people always seem to see some plotholes..... when there arn't, they can be theorys, but not plotholes.... People misuse and misunderstand that word to much... I think kishi lays down the facts as it is already.... Some people just can't handle the truth, for example, some people still say that tobi isn't obito... lol...
