1-She tanked large scale shinra tensei and absorbed and shielded the villagers with ease .

2-A palm-sized clone of Katsuyu even survived the corrosive chakra of Naruto's eight-tailed form

3-Also survived nagato's Chibaku Tensei.

4- they said only kastuyu ,Third raikage and few others durability can survive heavenly transfer technique .



Shield /absorb people :
-Katsuyu is also able to absorb people into its body, thus protecting them from physical impacts and working as a shield .





Offensively:

1-Tongue Tooth Sticky Acid technique, which is strong enough to melt through rock with ease.

Not to mention her ability large scale


2-Slug Great Division, Katsuyu can divide itself into smaller clones to evade attacks or to serve small scale functions(she might rival Naruto in clones)


3-katsuyu can liquified her body or splits her body
But she is capable of quickly reforming itself if need be.


chakra transfer:

She can transfer chakra or heal other through her pieces by the summoner.


Mind transfer :

Its not mind transfer but more like telepathy
Katsuyu's clones can telepathically share information with each other which allows the slug to serve other supplementary purposes when divided such as gathering and dispensing information. Like in pain arc or war arc .

she could only shield a few people, lots of people died because nagato had to revive a lot of villagers
she survived because of her small size and sponge like body, large buildings were broken to small pieces and thrown away by shinra tensei

Are you sure you meant overrated and not underrated - you provided lots of good feats so I'm confused? Katsuyu is like a medic a support type summon and not a front line fighter. She has some of the best durability feats in the series but her offense is lacking. The one time we have seen her acid it was easily dodged.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying she is bad, in fact she is one of the most useful and versitile summons we have seen but at the end of the day she is a shield/ support type summon and not an offensive type ( not that there's anything wrong with that).

Naruto skin it self burn when he goes that mode ,and you think he was protecting katsuyu by his chakra

Yes i agree

Maybe thats why it used with tsunade and sakura a lot because its supporting summon .

She is a slug yes but she never depend on her speed she use teleport jutsu .
