Why kabuto isn't done yet.

Many people think that just because Kabuto lost to Itachi and Orochimaru is back, that he has no more part to play in the story.

Well unlike most of the villains, he is first of all still alive after his "big battle". Nagato, Kakuzu, Kisame, and pretty much everyone dies after they show their final battle.

However, he is instead stuck in Izanami realizing the futility of his ways and we see that from his past he became evil because he was confused; which means that he will most likely break out of it and reflect on Itachi's words and follow his own path. Thus, he is given a second chance to live.

My biggest reason is the fact that if he didn't have anymore roles to play, he would have lost all his powers and killed off. But instead, we see here that Oro just takes his chakra back.

Now I know most people say that he can't go into sage mode because of it.....no, because he learned sage mode on his own, just like naruto did, and jiraiya. It was jugo's DNA that helped him maintain sage mode, not Orochimaru's. It clearly says that Oro just took his chakra and "released" sennin mode, as in switch off. It also says that he didn't take his power, only his(Oro's) portion of chakra.

For something that complicated like Izanami to be invented by Kishito just for Kabuto means either he was too OP to defeat or he's going to come back in one way or another.

Kabuto wasn't goin to die. Itachi wanted him to have a chance to change his life around, something Itachi couldn't do. So if he ever get out of Izanami he'll be a good guy.

it said oro took only his own chakra and released sage mode, that would suggest oro's chakra kabuto had was the sole purpose of the sage mode and when absorbing his chakra lost his abilities (as in sage mode) and possibly because he needs oro's chakra to collaborate sage mode with the other various chakra's he posses he also lost the ability to use them rendering him, normal.

then why does Sasuke say "it's not like that" when Suigetsu says Oro took his power? He still has his power. Oro's chakra has nothing to do with Sage mode. Oro couldn't get sage mode because he didn't have the body necessary to cope with it, which is why Kabuto used Jugo's DNA. Oro has no factor in that.

whats the use of it now? rinnegan is equally strong, so madara dont need to use his abilities, and all the zetsu's are gone from the looks of it, try again.

you seem to forget that oro is a reincarnated of himself (immortal) with the help of sacrificed bodies, he wasn't referring to jugo's or his own, he was referring to his sacrificed body...heavens you do read the manga dont you? it clearly states he wanted to obtain jugo's ability to gain natrual energy at will, but obviously his sacrificial body wasn't compatible hints the reason why oro is in constant search for the perfect body and kabuto commenting *he hadn't found the right body * which most probably ended at sasuke.

if Oro didn't have sage mode, then what role does his chakra have to do with Kabuto's?

Kabuto learned Sage mode just like naruto and jiraiya learned it.

The absorbing of natural energy is what gives the ability of sage mode in the first place, and because of Jugo's DNA Kabuto can constantly suck in this natural energy, making him have sage mode indefinitely.
