Itachi= Nobody, so don't think so hard, you'll hurt yourself.

That shows that Itachi is on his own level and can't be compared to. Plus, he has Totsuka blade & Yata mirror ect.

Probably Itachi's rival is Shisui, because he was his best friend. As the thread maker said, Naruto - Sasuke, best friends, Madara - Hashirama, best friends, Obito - Kakashi, best friends, so Itachi's rival has to be Shisui. As for Minato, it's unknown, but probably he had best friend and a rival, too.
