Why itachi did not use Inzanagi to cure his illness?

If Danzo a non-Uchiha could use it then it stands to reason that the greatest user of the Sharingan eye since Madara himself would be able to do the same.
But I doubt it would work in the case of an illness becaue an illness stays with you whereas an simple injury or even death blow can be remanded.

2- Supposing he can use, when we see that even someone with Senju DNA like Danzo couldn't use it for more than 1minute per eye, without Senju DNA, it should be crap, maybe less than 1second since Danzo with Senju DNA can use even Shisui's KA plenty of times in one day when without it, you must wait 10years

3- Izanagi doesn't work like that. You have to activate it before receiving a damage for that to work and transforms it into dream. It's not a healing ability

Itachi could have used izanagi on himself when he got sick with the unknown disease and restore his body to it orignal self.After using Itachi used izanagi he could replace the blind eyes with shusi eye since the shusi's eye was specialise in gensjutsu and also contain the strongest gensjutsu in world.We know that itachi will no perform susano but he will be able to perform tsukyomi , KA and also have the lengendary items of so6p to compensate for susano because the totsuka sword and yata mirror can changes sizes .Itachi will still be invincible ninja in the series

Yeah, but didn't you make a thread about sasuke using izanagi yesterday? Read the manga or read up on the jutsu. Itachi doesn't have the prerequisites for the jutsu (senju DNA), or (most likely) the knowledge on how to use it.

Well it's quiet simple, the anwser is in the definition of Izanagi. "When activated, the caster removes the boundaries between reality and illusion within their personal space." So Itachi could not have stopped himself from getting the disease since he would have to activate Izanagi right before getting it which is impossible to tell. Second, yes he would lose which ever eye he used Izanagi with but No he wouldn't be invincible since KA was programmed to make a ninja protect Konoha then it takes 10 years to recharge so Itachi can pretty much only use the 3 tomoes sharingan and will lose either Tsukuyomi/Amaterasu and will lose Sasunoo. It was never stated the legenary items can change size so those can't unless it's stated somewhere so they will become useless to him too.
