Why Isn't Sakura learning more Genjutsu?

Yeah , she may be academically smart but is not "life smart"U_U

yeah I know she was acting reckless and thoughtless when she ran to Naruto in nine tails form. But it was also stubborness TO ME since she knows that Naruto would've hurt her like that, she just didn't know what to do and paniked then causing her to act reckless and thoughtful.

i disagree sage of elements, sakura is not dumb, she just makes dumb decisions by letting her emotions pile up to the point she loses a sense of common sense.

Since, Sakura is always acting stubborn around Naruto(and maybe even with a some other people), haven't you noticed? she like almost never really treats him with lots of respect as her comrade, though she still does care about him since they were friends/comrades for a long time. Also remember that episode when Sakura was going to kill Sasuke and Kakashi said that he was going to take care of that burden for her? he said for her to get away and to leave it to him, so she acted most likely stubborn but also thoughtless about what Kakashi had just said to her and tried to kill him again on her second attempt.

Sakura it took busy sulking over Sasuke to even think of becoming stronger. Dont be Surprised, Hinata may even surpass her.

She COULD be training more and learning new genjutsu type jutsus. Kakashi thought that she can be good at genjutsu ever since the beginning of Naruto, because of her ability to break Ino's mind transfer jutsu, staying awake in the chuunin exam arena, and etc., She can even almost easily break/resist any genjutsu releases. Her awesome abilities on chakra control also made her great at grasping only a bit of her chakra and using it in one big blow. Secondly using medical nin-jutsu which is really useful for her and her comrades. Since Kakashi thinks that she can be great at both ninjutsu and genjutsu, she can possibly become a better Kunoichi than Tsunade. Genjutsu can also make her ALOT more stronger because then she can probably break Sasuke's Tsukuyomi. If she really spends MUCH MORE time on training genjutsu(and taijutsu) she probably(less likely) may even be stronger than, for example, Itachi.

Which leads back to an old theory of mine where I thought Kurenai could train her after she recovers from childbirth, but don't think that's going to happen. The war is already here and unless there's going to be another lengthy story arc after the war, there really isn't a reason for Sakura to learn genjutsu. It's too late

When the series started, Kishimoto enjoyed her character because she was basically meant to represent "realistic attributes," meaning she doesn't possess the supernatural speed that Rock Lee has or the fire-summoning abilities that Sasuke has. She was supposed to be the "most human" of all the ninjas, hence why she always seemed to be the weaker one of the bunch.

While her role was originally meant to be that of a genjutsu expert, it seems Kishi changed his mind on her place in the series with the creation of the Sannin. Her place now is that of a medical nin, which tend to be the most important factors of any given war - that's repeated throughout the series. Sakura isn't supposed to be mega-powerful like Naruto and Sasuke. She isn't supposed to be a gifted shinobi in areas like Rock Lee or Shikamaru. She's simply an average ninja that rose above herself to find a unique place that, quite frankly, no one else has shown to obtain yet.

Oh yeah, Kurenai sensei, I have always wondered about why hasn't Sakura chose Kurenai to train her instead of Tsunade? I guess she only chose Tsunade because she had a closer bond with Tsunade than with Kurenai. Or maybe, she just thought that since Tsunade is the Hokage that she would've been able to make her really strong, and teach her lots of different jutsus. But, Tsunade really didn't teach her alot of jutsus. Though, I think that Tsunade taught her enough for now. True, I guess it is too late for her to learn Genjutsu, the war is going to be a long battle and Kurenai is probably going to be really busy from now on, with the baby.

sakura's development is done i think, she surpassed ino and became an excellent medical nin, which is all that her goals amount to bar sasuke. i don't think she has anything else driving her to become stronger. personally i think it's great that she's given a support role, she's annoying. although she might have to make a critical choice when naruto finally fights sasuke.

I would love to see some of the side characters developments but nooo. U_U

Not to say her learning some using genjutsu would be interesting, I'd love to see her become more useful in the series rather than just crying over the other characters. Now granted, she's the "human" in a bunch of "mutants" in a way, so she can't really do a whole lot. At this point, can you imagine Sakura fighting like Rock Lee or busting out jutsus like Sasuke or showing high-class intelligence like Shikamaru?
Well, the intelligence thing needs to come back into play. Early in part one, she showed so much promise of growing into a strong female character for the series, because of her smarts. Remember, she passed the exam without cheating. It's small things like that which makes her an ideal character.
Combine that and her unusual strength (or moreso 100% chakra control) she could be a real interest character if given some time to develop.

When the rescue Gaara arc came by an she was fighting with Sasori, I was actually excited because it showed how much she's grown. Unfortunately, after that she went back to being in the background. Such a shame. Then again, still better than how Kishi's treated Tenten.

Doesn't matter how much you train regular genjutsu. Kishi won't allow it to be more powerful than Tsukuyomi.
